How to Visit Gotstyle (and Avoid the Construction)

It’s a mess out there.

From July 11 to 25, the intersection of King & Bathurst has turned into ground zero. With construction at full tilt, we’ve put together some tips to help you make your way to Gotstyle (without the road rage, idling, or the mouthful of dust).

By Car:
Your best bet is to drive west on Wellington to Bathurst. Across from Gotstyle is a parking lot, but the Bathurst side entrance has been blocked off. Enter the parking lot on Wellington across from the Thompson Hotel entrance, as shown above. Alternatively, you can park your car on Wellington on either side of Bathurst. Expect traffic during peak hours, as many cars are diverting through there.

By TTC:
Take a streetcar to Queen & Bathurst and walk south to Wellington. The King streetcar just isn’t reliable these days with King & Bathurst shut down and the King short turns at Shaw. You can also take a streetcar to King & Spadina and walk from there.

By Bike:
Bike racks are everywhere on Bathurst, and it’s not hard to find one. The nearest BIXI station is at King & Spadina, and taking the short walk on Wellington across to Bathurst can save you a lot of hassle. Feel free to bring your bike (BIXI or not) into the store if you don’t have a lock, we’ll keep it safe here while you shop!
