How To: Upgrade Your Red Carpet Look

With the upcoming film festival in Toronto, we are looking at some red carpet looks that stand out for inspiration. The black tux and white shirt combo is a classic go-to but we think its time to step outside of our comfort zone. Change the game with coloured suits, micro prints and unique tuxedos.

A picture is worth a thousand words and the same can be said about a coloured suit. It is full of character so when picking out accessories, find ones that play up the colour but don’t take away from the main focus. If you’re daring enough, be suave and forgo the tie.

If colour isn’t your thing, try a grey suit and take it up a notch with a subtle micro print. Monochromatic is the way to go so that the suit’s pattern stands out. Pair it with a solid or tonal tie to keep the outfit more dapper than business.

We know tuxedos are the epitome of red carpet attire but we challenge you to step it up. Instead of the usual black tuxedo, make a statement with a coloured tuxedo. We recommend keeping it neutral or in a darker tone like white navy or burgundy.
