A Year In Review: Best Of 2014
And there you have it, in a blink of an eye we’re here, the last day of 2014. As we reflect back on days gone by we can’t help but recognize that none of our success would’ve been possible without your continued support. As such, first and foremost we’d like to thank all our loyal friends and customers for making this year even better than the last.
From the official launch of our new Gotstyle App, to #LupulStyle 2.0, not to forget our epic parties, it’s hard to image that we were able to squeeze so much into yet another year. We hope you've enjoyed the journey thus far and invite you to join us for another exciting year.
Did we mention, 2015 marks our official 10 Year Anniversary?! So you know that things are only going to get bigger, better, grander.
Gotstyle Gives Back! We were hard at work this year aligning ourselves with important charities helping the community in Canada and abroad, raising thousands of dollars for great charities including Right To Play, Fashion 4Hope, Movember and the Lucky Ball.
In addition, we had the privilege to had over a 25k cheque to that True Patriot Love foundation through our inaugural #LupulStyle project. For those of you unfamiliar with the initiative, in 2013 we teamed up with Toronto Maple Leaf Joffrey Lupul to raise money for True Patriot Love, a charity that is dedicated to helping Canadian military families in need. We dressed Joffrey for 40 home-games last season and had the world vote on his looks. For each vote both Joffrey and Gotstyle donated $1 toward TPL. Click here to learn how you can get involved.
We kicked off the year with the launch of #LupulStyle 2.0, this time we teamed up with Joffrey Lupul to help raise money for The Remix Project. A local Toronto charity created to help level the playing field for young people from disadvantaged, marginalized and under served communities. The initiative is designed to provide programs and services to serve youth who are trying to enter into the creative industries or further their formal education; The REMIX Project provides top-notch alternative, creative, educational programs, facilitators and facilities. Their mission is to help refine the raw talents of young people from across the GTA in order to help them find success as participants define it and on their own terms.
In addition, we’re proud to announce that Gotstyle is the first retailer in Canada to have it’s own Rewards program. With the launch of the new Gotstyle App, you can now shop, earn points and get great style advice all in the palm of you hands.
Last but not least, we teamed up with the good folks at Stella Artois for another first. This time we launched Toronto’s first Father’s Day gift Shoppe. The shoppe offered a great shopping experience for the discerning gentlemen featuring everything from classic timepieces, leather goods, men's grooming items and much more. Not to mention some free beer!

What an incredible year in the press. From being named Best menswear Store in Toronto by Now Magazine and Blog TO, to features on Canada AM and The Marilyn Dennis Show this year has truly been a blessing. In addition, Gotstyle was featured in virtually every single major Canadian Magazine and newspaper not to mention our very own Melissa Austria Melissa continued making her mark as Toronto's menswear expert with a special feature on Arlene Dickinsons You Inc and appearances on Breakfast Television.
We love our customers, and our customers- aside from great fashions love to party. Which is why we put so much into our events. To kick off the year we teamed up with our favourite Aussie brand Zanerobe to celebrate the start of Toronto Fashion Week. Soon after that, we brought you our #PrintandPattern party to liven things up after a treacherous winter. In July we teamed up with the Honda Indy to bring you a private patio party with two-time Grand Prix racer, Simon Pagenaud which was soon followed by our #DressToKill event where we celebrated the Ontario launch of 19 Crimes wines.
To wrap it up, in October we invited over 400 of our top customers and industry partners to celebrate the start of the Fall season at our Gotstyle #GStyleSportif Party. Keeping to the theme of "luxury sport" our Gotstyle Distillery location was transformed into the ultimate sports emporium filled with a ping-pong table, fooseball table, indoor basketball and of course our signature pool table. Guests were also treated to a great selection of custom complimentary cocktails by Grey Goose and Vitamin Water, our signature Gotstyle Fall fashion presentation and a Gotstyle gift card to help kick start their Fall shopping.

With our Gotstyle Grooms program we've got men covered head to toe for their big day. Starting with their suits, down to their suspenders & socks. We have dressed dozens of grooms and this year was no different. Not only did we get great testimonials from our grooms, but several of them were featured in bridal magazines across the country.
